Xbox Series X officially unveiled, arriving this Holiday 2020

It’s coming!

Microsoft made the first blood in announcing their next-gen console — the Xbox Series X. As expected, the console will be the most powerful console in terms of performance, speed, and even compatibility because the console allows you to play thousands of games from three generations.

The Xbox Series X delivers an industrial tower design that looks cleaner in the living room. When it comes to power, Microsoft has designed the console to deliver 4x the power of the Xbox One X and it will support vertical and horizontal orientation.

There’s a new Xbox Wireless controller that has been redesigned and it comes with a share button so you can share your screenshots and game clips easier and there’s the new d-pad that is derived from the Xbox Elite Series 2 Wireless Controller. This new Xbox Wireless controller will also be compatible with the Xbox One and Windows 10 PC.

One of the best things about the Xbox Series X is that it is capable of 4k at 60FPS and even up to 120FPS with support for Variable Refresh Rate or VRR. And yes, the console can even handle 8K if you want thanks to the redesigned Zen 2 processor and also the RDNA architecture from AMD. It will also have a Variable Rate Shading tech that will optimize the hardware of the Xbox Series  X including the next-generation SSD and also the all-new Xbox Series X GPU.

Xbox Series X will also feature Auto Low Latency Mode which will minimize the latency and also the Dynamic Latency Input which will aim to have an optimized and responsive console.

Backward compatibility

Lastly, Microsoft has promised to deliver and invest with Xbox as you can expect to play your legacy games from previous Xbox devices. Not only that, but Xbox One gaming accessories will also be compatible with the device.

Some of the announced games on the Xbox Series X includes Halo Infinity in 2020 that will support cross-generation entitlements and also Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II.

The Xbox Series X is expected to arrive on Holiday 2020
