The recent Predator League 2024 esports tournament held last January 14-15 in SM MOA Arena was a hit, as tickets were sold out for the event. The event featured the finals for the DOTA 2 and VALORANT tournaments with a $65,000 top prize each.
Filipino teams dominated the DOTA 2 finals, with Blacklist Rivalry defeating compatriots Execration 3-1 to claim their first Predator Shield. Blacklist star Abed “Abed” Yusop shines as the esports player boast a stats of 8.5 kills and 14 assists per game. He outplayed Execration but Execration still took home $20,000 for their efforts.
Meanwhile, Team Secret lived up to expectations in VALORANT, sweeping the Japanese team FAV Gaming 2-0 in the finals. With Jamba “Jremy” Cabrera, Secret dominated from start to finish to win their first LAN event since forming last year. FAV Gaming received $20,000 as runner-up.
Aside from the esports and gaming event, the Predator League also showcase musical acts from SB19, Sarah Geronimo, and more.
Predator League 2025
The next Predator League will shift to Malaysia in early 2025, with online qualifiers starting by end-2024. Philippines handed the baton to Malaysia during the event after three straight editions in the Philippines since 2022.
