Another Windows 8 tablet was announced that’ll arrive in the Philippines with a very affordable price tag. The Asus Vivotab Smart is a Windows 8 tablet powered by Intel Atom Z2760 which can be found on Samsung ATIV Smart PC and the one that I recently had a hands-on, the Acer Iconia Tab W510. I’ve said this before and I’ll share it again, this is a Full Windows 8 tablet and not Windows RT. The Vivotab Smart can run legacy x86 applications. In plain and simple English, you can play your old games or old applications on this tablet unlike Surface RT which can only play and use apps from the Windows Store.
The Asus Vivotab Smart got a 10.1-inch with 1366×768 display. If you are an iPad 3 or 4 user. Don’t worry guys, it doesn’t suck that much from what I experience on other Windows 8 tablets. The Asus Vivotab Smart also has an optional Transleeve keyboard that magnetically combines screen protection and a wireless keyboard. I guess the Transleeve keyboard acts just like the Smart Cover of iPad.
