The gaming scene is about to get better as Sony has just announced that Playstation Plus and PlayStation Now has merged and you can now choose from three flexible options which gives you different benefits and perks.
The New Playstation Plus will come in three different tiering — Playstation Plus Essential, Playstation Plus Extra, and Playstation Plus Premium. Basically, the essential is giving you the same playstation plus that we have right now while the PlayStation Plus Extra gives you the benefit of downloading and playing 400 games of PS4 and PS5 games including PlayStation Studios catalog and third party partners. But of course, this will come with a more expensive pricing.
The more premium offering is the PlayStation Plus Premium which will give you the additional benefits from the Essential and Extra tiers but the Premium will also give you an additional 340 games from the catalog and you can stream it directly to your device. You can stream or download PS, PS2, and PSP games while PS3 games are available via cloud streaming. You can stream your games on PC, PS4 and PS5. Unfortunately, game streaming is not available in the Philippines.
For countries who wants to take advantage of the PlayStation Plus Premium without the cloud streaming, it will be offered at markets without cloud streaming.
This new PlayStation Plus game subscription service is expected to be launched by the end of the first half of 2022.
