In the smartphone industry today, there are already a lot of brands that are saturating the market but Vivo has already built a reputation to be a leading global technology company. How? Well, they have invested a lot in software and hardware R&D so that they can bring the latest and cutting-edge devices to the consumers that brings new technologies.

The company has a lot of first in the world technology. Back in 2012, they’ve introduced the Vivo X1 which was the world’s thinnest smartphone at 6.65mm. In 2014, the Vivo X5 Max comes in a thinner 4.75mm body which  claims the world’s thinnest phone back then.

In 2017, Vivo has introduced the Vivo V7+ that comes with the first-ever 24-megapixel front camera with Face Beauty. While in 2018, they’ve introduced the Vivo X20 Plus UD, which is the first handset to sport a fingerprint scanner underneath the 6.43-inch Full HD+ display of the smartphone.

Aside from that, Vivo has also been consistent with their APEX line as the smartphone introduces a lot of new technologies for the consumer market. With the APEX, the smartphone has been introduced to sport a FullView display with no notch and bezel with a pop-up camera.

The Chinese company has also introduced the Vivo Time of Flight camera which is a 3D sensing technology that is now being used by different smartphone brands. This can be used for augmented reality, paradigm shift in imaging.

So what’s next for Vivo? Well, the company has introduced the APEX 2019 which is the company’s first-ever 5G smartphone that sports a Super Unibody design that eliminates the bezel, notch, and the physical buttons of the smartphone.

With the dawn of 5G, I’m really happy and excited to see what’s next for Vivo smartphones.
