Samsung Galaxy A35 and Galaxy A55 Now Official: Exynos CPUs and Samsung Knox

The Samsung Galaxy A55 5G and A35 5G are the newest mid-range smartphone in town and they are the successors to the Galaxy A54 and A34. Both phones feature a 6.6-inch 1080x2340px Super AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate. They also share a 5,000mAh battery with 25W charging support. Unfortunately, the charging speeds hasn’t been upgraded on the smartphone.

The Galaxy A55 has a metal frame, while the Galaxy A35 uses plastic. Both phones come with Gorilla Glass Victus+ on the front for protection. The Galaxy A55 has a higher resolution 32MP front-facing camera compared to the 13MP front-facing camera on the Galaxy A35.

The rear cameras are the same on both phones: a 50MP f/1.8 main shooter with OIS, a 12MP f/2.2 fixed-focus ultrawide camera and a 5MP f/2.4 macro camera.

The Galaxy A55 is powered by the newer Exynos 1480 SoC with an AMD RDNA2-based Xclipse 530 GPU. It can be paired with either 8 GB or 12 GB of RAM, and 128 GB or 256 GB of storage. The Galaxy A35 uses the older Exynos 1380 SoC and comes with 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage.

Both phones come with Samsung’s Knox security platform and promise 4 years of major OS updates and 5 years of security patches.
