The entry-level Android smartphones like the Realme C1 and OPPO A3s are a lot better unlike before. Right now, these smartphones are now capable of a lot of things not only for social media uses but also for gaming thanks to the Snapdragon 450 inside it. Not just that, these smartphones also pack a notched display which is rare for its price range. Now the question still remains. Why is the Realme C1 and the OPPO A3s a really great entry-level smartphone and which one of them is the better one?
Before we proceed, let’s check out the specifications of both smartphones.

Both smartphones are really good and they have almost the same specifications but the Realme C1 wins in two things – Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and also its price. However, the OPPO A3s offers a better memory at a higher price and a higher megapixel count. However, higher megapixel count doesn’t necessarily mean better camera quality. The price is the most crucial aspect of these two smartphones given that these are entry-level smartphones.
However, other aspects of both smartphones are the same. You’ll surely love the battery life of the two smartphones as it packs a 4230mAh battery and in my benchmarks in the Realme C1, the smartphone has the longest battery life that I’ve ever tested. The dual camera of the smartphones also work well too and despite that lack of the fingerprint scanner, the Realme C1 and the OPPO A3s packs a really fast face unlock.
The best part? both of the smartphones run on Snapdragon 450 processor which is more than enough to run most games and applications that are available today on the Play store.
But the biggest advantage of the Realme C1 over the OPPO A3s is its price. At the price range of both smartphones, having a Php1,000 difference is already crucial. The OPPO A3s is priced at Php6,995 for the 2GB/16GB variant while the Realme C1 is more affordable at Php5,995.
Since they’re practically the same, I would go for the Realme C1 since it is more affordable but if I want more power, I could go for the OPPO A3s 3GB/32GB variant.
The OPPO A3s is now available nationwide and at online channels while the Realme C1 is available at Lazada and at selected MemoXpress stores below.
If you’re lucky enough, you can check out Realme’s Facebook page to get some discounts and vouchers and get the smartphone for only Php5,490.
