ASUS Vivobook S14 S433 Hands-on and first impressions

ASUS has recently unveiled their newest notebooks in the country — the ASUS Vivobook S series and they now come with a more powerful 10th generation Intel CPUs inside and of course, we got here a stylish and colorful design which can cater the design needs of the Gen Z market.

One of the biggest improvements done on the ASUS Vivobook S is the design of the notebook. First, we got here a metal chassis which brings a solid feel to the notebook and also the different colorways available that are really nice to the eyes. But of course, the small details of the notebook matters too as we got here some chamfered edges that make the notebook more premium.

Since we got here different colors for the notebook, the keyboard also comes with a beautiful colored enter key which is a small detail but it adds to the beauty of the vivobook S notebook. There’s no numpad in here but ASUS managed to place the page up and down buttons along with the end, fn, and home key on the right side of the notebook.

The keyboard of the notebook feels better to type on compared to the previous generation as this one has more tactile feedback compared to their previous notebook and typing on the notebook is really a breeze to use. The ASUS Vivobook S14 also comes with a decent touchpad which is made up of glass which makes the touchpad more comfortable to use and pretty to look at. Aside from that, there’s a fingerprint scanner too on the upper right of the touchpad

The notebook comes with 1.61cm height x 35.98cm width x 23.38cm depth with a 1.8kg weight. Basically, this one isn’t a problem at all when it comes to portability as the notebook does come with a lightweight and fair build. Despite having a 14” display, this one feels like a 13-inch notebook.

For the ports, we got here 2x USB 2.0, 1x microSD card reader, 1x USB 3.1 Type-A, 1x USB 3.1 Type-C, HDMI, and an audio jack combo. Basically, all the ports that you need in this notebook are here so you won’t have a problem with this one.

We also got here a 14” LED-backlit Full HD 1920×1080 NanoEdge display and it comes with an 85% screen-to-body ratio. In my usage, the notebook does have a fine display with a fair brightness that can be used outside and the bezels are noticeably thin enough to make the notebook have a smaller body.

For the internals, we got here an up to Intel Core i7-1065G7 CPU which is pretty powerful enough and it also comes with 8GB 3200MHz DDR4 RAM and also a 512GB SSD inside. For the GPU, there’s the Nvidia MX350 GPU which is capable enough to let you run the latest applications and also some games at a higher frame rate. As expected, we also got here an Intel WiFi 6 inside which is future proof and it offers a better bandwidth compared to WiFi 802.11ac. The notebook also comes with a 50Wh 3-cell lithium-polymer battery and it also offers fast charging of up yo 60% in just 49 minutes.

The ASUS Vivobook S is expected to launch this July 31, 2PM at the ASUS Facebook page at this link: https://bit.ly/WowTheWorldEventPage
