With its Corporate Social Responsibility arm, the MSN Foundation, CHERRY launched its Swab Test Aide Project for locally stranded individuals.
Meanwhile, CHERRY revealed that this effort wouldn’t be possible without the help of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) in coordination with their Kapit-Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan-Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services (Kalahi-CIDSS) program.
Through the program, residents who wish to come back home can get their RT-PCR test through PCR Med Inc. Molecular Laboratory. It is an accredited testing laboratory in Makati.
With this, CHERRY will fund the swab test of 100 LSIs and other individuals who can’t afford it.
“We are expecting a surge in recipients as Christmas draws near. A lot of our kababayan are possibly looking forward to celebrating the holidays with their families so most of them are very eager to go home,” Agnes Conopio, PR and CSR Senior Manager, CHERRY, said.
Meanwhile, Program Officer Dezza Sacdal noted that MSN Foundation gives complete assistance to its beneficiaries. In fact, they ensure that LSIs return safely to their respective provinces.
