We’ve been covering the Legion Gaming Phone thru leaks mostly from Legion China’s very own Weibo social media account. Initial leaks and teasers focus on the Legion Duel’s landscape orientation and 90-watts fast charging capability. The leaks finally end as Lenovojust unveiled the Legion Duel Gaming Phone in all its glory.
The unique and distinctive feature of the Legion Duel Gaming Phone is the side-mounted 20MP camera for an uninterrupted fullscreen gameplay experience as well the ability to record yourself while gaming. Moreover, the Legion Duel Gaming Phone, like the ROG Phone 3, has pressure-sensitive side triggers as well as four microphones for optimal sound recording.
Much like any other gaming-focused smartphone, the Legion Duel sports an advanced cooling system with two heat pipes to manage the latest Snapdragon 865+ SoC. Additionally, the Duel is packed with either 12 or 16GB LPDDR5 RAM, 512GB UFS 3.1 storage, and Lenovo’s U-Engine dual X-axis vibration motor. Powering the device is a massive 5,000 mAh battery with 90-watt fast charging support. There’s two USB-C ports, one on the bottom and the other one is located on the side which is ideal for gaming.
Despite being a gaming phone, the Legion Duel packs a dual-camera setup: a 64MP main sensor, and a 16MP ultrawide lens. The Legion Duel supports both 5G connection and Wi-Fi 6 for a stable gaming experience. Additionally, the Legion Duel will also come with accessories to elevate the mobile gaming experience, one of which is a dock for monitor use.
