Lenovo Launches Intel 10th Gen Powered Laptops at IFA 2019

Lenovo unveiled an array of devices designed to provide “Smarter Technology for All” at IFA 2019. These new devices feature Intel’s 10th generation of processors under the Ice Lake and Comet Lake Architecture. These new CPUs have improved performance, thermal design power and provide longer battery life thanks to Intel’s 10nanometer and 14nanometer++ technology.

Lenovo Adds AI on Yoga PCs

Yoga PCs by Lenovo are well known for their computing power, sleek design, and immersive entertainment value. Lenovo collaborates with Intel as part of its innovation program code-named Project Athena. The new Yoga C940 and Yoga S740 are one of the thinnest, lightest and most intuitive AI-enabled devices sporting the latest Intel Core 10th gen processors. Both Yoga laptops have exclusive smart features geared towards performance such as Super Resolution which upscales videos up to 1080p(FHD) on Windows Media Player and Q-Control that boosts a PC’s battery life with AI-enhanced Intelligent Cooling Mode.

The new Lenovo Yoga C940

The new Yoga Laptops, starting with the Yoga C940, will offer smarter capabilities through the Amazon Alexa voice service, available in select markets. Lenovo is also announcing three new Alexa updates for its consumer PCs including Lock Screen Support – Speak to Alexa when the laptop lid is open, locked or asleep. Updated Smart Home Visuals for uniformity, and Multi-Language support currently offered in English and German.

The new Lenovo Yoga C940 is a 14-inch 2-in-1 convertible laptop with an all-metal chassis with smart features such as TrueBlock Privacy shutter, Windows Hello and garaged pen. Q-Control’s Intelligent Cooling Mode optimizes the C940’s battery up to 17.5 hours for the FHD variant, and up to 10.5 hours with the UHD display.

Refreshed Lenovo Yoga S740

The popular Yoga S740 15″ laptop now comes with up to Intel’s 9th gen Core i9 mobile processor paired with an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 GPU. It’s an ultra-slim multi-tasking powerhouse thanks to its specs and it’s paired with a 15″ 1080p HDR Display with Dolby Vision at 500nits. It also features the same TrueBlock Privacy Shutter found on the Yoga C940. Additional features include an IR Camera and a time-of-flight(TOF) sensor.

Lenovo Yoga C640 2-in-1

The 13″ 2-in-1 Yoga C640 uses the 14nm++ Comet Lake 10th generation Intel Core i7 10510u processor. Paired with a 1-watt 13″ 1080p 300nits IPS panel, the Yoga C640 can last up to 20 hours. There are an optional 4G LTE variant and Wi-Fi 6 support. A smartpen will also be included with select models.
