Vivo V9 Unboxing and Hands-On

The Vivo V9 is now official and yes, we’ve been using the smartphone for a while now and we’re really happy with our usage of the smartphone. To give you a recap, the Vivo V9 packs a 6.3-inch FullView FullHD+ display with a notch at the top and has a 19:9 display aspect ratio, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 Chipset, 4GB RAM, 64GB Storage, 16-megapixel rear camera and also a 24-megapixel front camera for selfies.

In my usage, I was pretty happy with the performance of the Vivo V9 as I was able to play most games without problems however, the Snapdragon 626 is a little bit old for some games which are why you’ll have to turn down the settings but no worries, new games these days will still run on the smartphone.

The display is one of its biggest features and I’m happy to tell you that the display of the smartphone is better than the Vivo V7+ as this one features a Full HD+ resolution and oh, a notch at the top. Despite not running on Android P, applications and games worked fine the display as it appears to be a black bar at the top when it’s not compatible with the notch. However, I noticed that a lot of apps doesn’t run smoothly on the smartphone. I hope app developers can optimize its performance on smartphones like these soon.

The camera of the smartphone is a really big improvement over the previous generation. The beautification of the smartphone fares better and the selfies that I took using the smartphone was really great. Most of the shots that I took using the smartphone performed well and I was really happy with it whether I’m in a lowlight condition or not. the portrait mode of the smartphone is also great and thanks to its dual lens camera the portrait shots using the rear camera has really improved.
