Google has just unveiled today their newest foldable smartphone in the market, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. This new smartphone brings in a lot of new upgrades to the foldable smartphone including a new hinge.
The Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold is bringing a slimmer profile compared to last year which was already thin enough compared to Samsung Galaxy Fold 6. The new foldable pixel is also taller which means that the smartphone can display more content and the cover display will more usable.
The Pixel 9 Pro Fold comes with a thickness of just 5.1mm when unfolded and 10.5mm when folded. Despite that, the smartphone is still IPX8 water-resistant. The smartphone also features a foldable 8-inch display inside and it comes with a 6.3-inch cover display with OLED panels and 120Hz refresh rate a peak brightness of 2700 nits.
For the camera, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold comes with 48MP main camera along with 10.5MP telephoto lens and a 12MP ultrawide camera. For the processing part, it comes with Tensor G4 which is a 4nm processor and then there’s the 16GB RAM and also a 512GB Storage. For the battery, it will have a 4650mAh battery and also a 21W wired charging which is weirdly slow.
The Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold will come with Android 14 and it will have some cool Google Gemini AI features including Magic Editor and Add Me in where you can add people in your photos. The Pixel 9 Pro Fold is expected to have up to 7 years of software updates.
