Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. named Minsu Chu as the new president of Samsung Electronics Philippines Corporation (SEPCO).
Chu has over two decades of experience, including 11 years in Samsung. In fact, he was previously the president of Samsung Electronics New Zealand. Leading a Philippine team isn’t new for Chu, as he used to be the business director of the Mobile business in SEPCO.
“I am very pleased to return to the Philippines which I have long considered as my second home. This country has immense potential with its dynamic economy and a large and young population,” said Mr. Chu. “Even with the unprecedented global crisis, the country has remained resilient and has already shown signs of strong recovery, putting economic growth back on track.”
Chu also revealed that he aims for a more potent synergy between Mobile, Visual Display, and Digital Appliances.
Meanwhile, Samsung Electronics recently announced a newly merged Device eXperience (DX) Division. This comprises the Visual Display Business, Digital Appliances Business, Health & Medical Equipment Business, Mobile eXperience (MX) Business, and Networks Business.
