In the latest reports from Canalys, IDC Worldwide Quarterly Mobile Phone Tracker, and Counterpoint’s Market Pulse Service for the third quarter of 2023, HONOR has emerged as the clear leader in the Chinese smartphone market, securing the top position in all three reports.
Despite a subsequent decline in the Chinese smartphone market, HONOR achieved remarkable annual growth rates of 1.8%, 1.1%, and -1% in the IDC, Counterpoint, and Canalys reports, respectively. This impressive performance set HONOR apart from other brands. Meanwhile, in terms of market share, HONOR has established itself as the number one smartphone brand, with 19.3% according to IDC, 18.3% as per Counterpoint, and 18% based on Canalys data, surpassing the second-ranked brand in both reports by 16-17%.
HONOR also dominated the foldable smartphone market. HONOR Magic V2, recognized by IDC and Counterpoint, emerged as the top choice among all foldable models in China, reinforcing the brand’s leadership in the smartphone industry.
