Its slim profile of 0.63 inches makes it easy to slip into a bag, making daily commuting with a 15-inch laptop more manageable. However, the metal finish tends to attract marks from sweat and oil, which could become a concern for those who prioritize aesthetics.

For added privacy, ASUS has also included a physical camera toggle switch, allowing users to easily hide the webcam when not in use, which is a thoughtful feature for security-conscious users.

Meanwhile, one feature that stands out is the 180-degree hinge, which is perfect for sharing your screen during a meeting or a casual work session. Although the display lacks touchscreen functionality, the hinge’s flexibility makes it versatile in its own right.

With support for WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4, connectivity is stable, and we experienced no issues with dropouts or pairing devices. The range of ports and reliable wireless performance ensure this laptop is well-equipped for everyday tasks.

One of the standout features of the Vivobook S 15 is its deep integration with Microsoft Copilot, an AI-powered assistant that’s just a click away. However, during gaming tests, we encountered significant issues. Although games like Asphalt 9 ran smoothly at first, they crashed after a short while, causing the laptop to restart.

The same pattern occurred when running benchmarking apps, showing that this laptop is not suited for high-performance gaming or demanding tasks like 3D rendering.

On a positive note, the Vivobook S 15 excels when it comes to battery life. Equipped with a 70WHrs Lithium-ion battery, the laptop can last up to 15 hours on a single charge during typical productivity tasks. This makes it ideal for long workdays or commutes without worrying about frequent recharging. The device also supports USB-C Power Delivery, allowing you to charge from 0% to full in under two hours. ASUS claims the battery can last up to 18 hours, though real-world usage puts it closer to 15 hours unless power-saving adjustments are made.

However, for power users or those who require more from their device, such as gaming or 3D rendering, this laptop may not meet expectations. Qualcomm and Microsoft still need to work on improving app and game compatibility, as several programs didn’t function as expected during the review.
