From the creators of the dual-screened Axon M, ZTE has launched the Z18 Mini. The midranger packs a Snapdragon 660 SoC, 6GB of RAM which is plenty enough to multitask and an Adreno 512 GPU for gaming. The Nubia Z18 mini has 5.7” 2160×1080 IPS LCD panel that is protected with Gorilla Glass and on the back, it has an aluminum frame with a variety of colors to choose from, like White, Black, Light Blue, Purple, and Pink.
It is running Android the latest Android Oreo 8.1 with a custom skin from Nubia, with an assistant called NeoSmart AI, just like the Galaxy S9, it also has a dedicated button for the assistant.
There are two cameras at the back one with a 24MP with a f/1.7 aperture and other one sporting a 5MP sensor. On the front lives the 8MP Camera, which has a f/2.0 Aperture with an 80-degree wide angle lens. The rear has a ‘Portrait Mode’ option while the Selfie Camera has the ability to scan 106 facial points so it could do face unlocking for security, there is also the fingerprint scanner on the back.
Pre-orders start today in China for the ZTE Nubia Z18 Mini, and it will arrive April 19. The base 64GB model starts at CNY 1,799 or €230 (Php14,807) and the 128GB model will cost CNY 2,099 or €270 (Php17,382). There will be a ‘Limited Provence Edition’ that will cost you about 2,199 or €280 (Php18,026). There’s still no information about the availability on other regions other than China.
